Hospice Volunteer Services


Our hospice volunteer services are available at no cost to anyone in Waterville and the surrounding area who has experienced death of a loved one through anticipated or sudden unexpected death. These programs offer services that can be used according to the needs, lifestyle and wishes of each individual.

Complementary Care Volunteers Network


This service can be provided to Hospice patients and their caregivers in their homes or at the Hospice Community Center. Sessions are also available to bereavement clients at the Hospice Community Center.

MORE ABOUT HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS


Hospice Volunteer services may be provided in client homes, in nursing homes or in hospitals. Volunteers are assigned based on their availability, comfort level, interests and where they reside (in proximity to clients). They follow and support the same client for up to two years. All volunteers must participate in an interview, training and screening process. Criminal and driving history background checks are done on all volunteers who work directly with clients.
